Steadfast, hardworking, and aloof, Aidan is the son of the earth god Unog and serves as the Grand Commander of the halflings at Rehjolvnatys. When a brutal bandit attack on his hometown left him wandering the countryside by himself, he had a near-death encounter with a retired warrior named Mad, who decided to bring Aidan with him on his travels. Eventually, Aidan learned of his own heritage: as a child of Unog, he was to serve as the Grand Commander's successor if the current Grand Commander, Mad, was to die. Though Mad attempted to protect Aidan from the burdens of power and leadership, when the great warrior eventually met his demise, a griefstricken Aidan was thrown into the role he never dreamed of nor desired. He can often be found getting dragged into trouble or various other escapades by his newfound friends, Ren Thasor, Allen Hevaxej, and Eleanor Lottbrung, and his special talent is having such poor instinct for dressing appropriately that he relies on his Vice Commander, Eleanor, to coordinate outfits for him on a daily basis. Aidan's hobbies include journaling, stargazing, and going off to secluded places by himself to hone his swordsmanship. His raniom is a rapier named Falios. Its trinket form is an earring on his right ear.
